Domain name
What does the REGISTRAR-LOCK status mean?
Generic TLD's such as .COM and .NET have the possibility to be locked, using a so called 'REGISTRAR-LOCK'. It can be set by the registrar, and this will prevent any attempt of transferring your domain name to another registrar.
This is a problem if you want to transfer your domain name to PriorWeb. When we notice this, we will alert you. You then have to contact your current registrar who can remove this lock for free (the registrar itself is not charged anyway).
PriorWeb also enables the REGISTRAR-LOCK for all own domain names. This provides us a certain safety preventing any reckless or unwanted transfer. If you want to transfer your domain name to another registrar, please contact us for the removal of the REGISTRAR-LOCK. We will remove it without any extra charge.
