The problem

To prevent spammers from abusing our servers to distribute their spam, our mail servers only accept mail from trusted IP addresses.

The solution

Before you can use our SMTP server to send mail to external domainnames, you need to log in to your mail account via POP3 or IMAP. After logging in, your IP address will be added to our trustlist. When your IP address is in this list, you are able to use our SMTP server for 30 minutes. After that, you need to log in via POP3 or IMAP again. Most mail clients allow you to automatically check for new mail after a specified interval. If you configure an interval of 30 minutes or less, you will always be able to use the SMTP server.

Alternatively, you can also use authentication for SMTP, with your PriorWeb mailbox username and password.
