FAQ

Email
Mailing lists > How can I change/translate the default replies?

Moderators can alter the default replies from a mailing list. You need to send an empty mail to the edit address. This address is formed by adding '-edit' in front of the @-symbol.
For example: the edit address for newsletter@priorweb.be would be newsletter-edit@priorweb.be.

You will then receive a mail with a list of editable texts. To change one of the texts, you need to send an empty message to the edit address with the name of the text appended, seperated with a dot.
For example: to edit the 'trailer' text in newsletter@priorweb.be, send an empty message to newsletter-edit.trailer@priorweb.be.

A mail is sent back with the current contents of the text, between '%%% START OF TEXT FILE' and '%%% END OF TEXT FILE'. You can edit the text by replying to this email. Leave both the start and end line (preceeded by ''%%%') unchanged. When the text has been changed, click send. The text will be altered immediately.
