PriorWeb puts barcodes on outgoing documents
14/01/2011
Customers who got an invoice or other document from us this year, might have noticed it already: right above the address label, there's now a barcode. Don't let this scare you, it's part of the ongoing automatisation of incoming and outgoing documents at PriorWeb.

As you may know, PriorWeb wants to commit to a "paperless" environment as much as possible. Just a few weeks ago, we even published our vision on the office in 2011 (in Dutch). Despite all our efforts and this ideology, we still get a lot of post back at the office that needs to be processed. These letters were scanned and processed online. Some of the letters that are being returned better stay unopened, however, because of legal reasons.
That's why we now add a barcode to every outgoing document. If the document could not be delivered at the destination address, and thus returned to PriorWeb, we can now process it even faster and more accurately. We scan the barcode on the document, register that the letter has been returned and automatically inform our customer with an email to verify the address details we have in our database. After we contacted the customer, we can then resend the letter by regular mail or even digitally.
Every document will be perfectly traceable.
This year, PriorWeb will invest even further in the ongoing digitalisation of its document flow and administration. We strongly believe that we can communicate even faster and better with our customers by doing this.
